Tecnotion doesn’t specify the nominal air gap because of the casted finish of the coil unit and the magnet plate. This finish makes it difficult to get an accurate reading of the air gap with the use of a feeler gauge. To get an accurate measurement Tecnotion advises to derive the air gap from the total mounting height.
These heights can be found in the Iron Core linear motor manual.
